What is a Shoutout?
A group video for one person. You start it, friends each add a clip of up to 15 seconds, and at drop time the person it's for gets them all at once as one reel.
How do I get friends to add a clip?
Open the Shoutout and tap Invite to pick friends, or share its link to a group chat. Anyone with the link can join.
Can the person it's for see it before it drops?
No. They see nothing until the drop. Be careful about posting the link somewhere they can see it, since the link page shows the title and who's in it.
How do I change or cancel a Shoutout before it drops?
Open it and tap •••. You can drop it now, edit the title, change the drop time, turn off its share link, or cancel it. Only the person who started it can do this.
I added a clip by mistake. Can I take it back?
Yes. Open the Shoutout, tap •••, then Remove my clip.
Someone made me a Shoutout. Can I delete it?
Yes. After it drops it's yours: open it, tap •••, then Delete Shoutout. To hide just one clip, tap ••• on that clip while watching, then Hide this clip.
How do I report or block someone?
While watching, tap ••• on their clip, then Report clip or Block. You can also block or report from their profile's ••• menu. Unblock people in Settings → Blocked people.
I'm not getting notifications.
Check Settings → Notifications in CASTCADE, and make sure notifications are allowed for CASTCADE in your phone's Settings app.
My sign-in code didn't arrive.
It comes from hello@mail.getcastcade.com and usually arrives within a minute. Check your spam or Promotions folder, then try sending it again.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. It removes your profile and your clips. Or email us and we'll do it for you.
